Life-Long Learning Goals
As a creator and promulgator of learning, it is important for me to embrace the need to constantly be on the receiving end as well. What, why, and how we learn will constantly be evolving and so will my knowledge and skills base. Beyond this program, I hope to continue learning about new technologies as they arise and explore instructional design research further.
Professional Goals
As I continue my work as an Instructional Designer I hope to be able to use the knowledge gained from my coursework at GMU to:
- Improve the quality and effectiveness of the training I design by grounding my instruction in instructional design theory and practice.
- Take advantage of emerging technologies to enhance the learning experience.
- Stay connected to ongoing research and academic discourse in the instructional design field.
- Continue to improve my project management skills.
Academic Goals
As a student I know that my educational journey is never over, my academic goals are to:
- Continue to pursue further education exploring topics within adult education, instructional design, psychology, and computer/information sciences.
- Participate in research advancing the field of instructional design.
